| I like much of Dare’s writing, but this novel of a “Spinster Cove” and the regiment of (gasp!) men that moves in to challenge the women’s hideaway just felt way too modern in language and tone to be any kind of accurate historical fiction. The lead romance was okay, but, overall, meh. For 18 and up. |
