I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You, by Ally Carter

A delightful romp of a book, featuring a 16-year-old heroine who attends a private girls’ school for spies-in-training. Her mission: Is the cute guy she met an infiltrator or just a normal guy? And if he’s just a normal guy, how can she secretly date him? There are wonderful friendships between the girls at the school and to date or not to date is about as serious as it gets. Despite the high-tech spy background, the book has a certain innocence to it and is clearly targeted at younger YAs. My 13-year-old ate it up with a spoon and headed into the half-dozen sequels that follow.
