The Witch’s Grave, by Phillip DePoy

I love DePoy’s Fever Develin mystery series, and The Witch’s Grave is a great example. It has all the touchstones of the series: the haunting mystery, the inextricable links to the past, the delicious local foods, and the local characters who seem a real part of place and are never forced. As an Atlantan, I have a special joy in the way he realizes north Georgia without ever patronizing the South. Recommended.
