The Darkest Minds, by Alexandra Bracken

Again with the teen dystopia. An epidemic has wiped out most children over 10, and leaves the survivors with strange and varied mental abilities. Ruby’s disturbing skills, her quest to control them, and her fears she has become a monster, drive the book forward. Recommended for older teens, for what Ruby suffers at age 10 (in flashbacks) is haunting, as is her world.
